Meet Our Team

At Clear Path Solutions we have a core team of five Psychologists and Psychotherapists. Our professionals have a broad range of training and experience.  We also have some associates and interns who work with us on a part-time basis.

Dr. Paul Kelly, C.Psych.

I am a Cofounder and Principal with Clear Path Solutions and a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists in Ontario. As well, I am an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Toronto, a Consultant to the Psychological Trauma Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, and a member of the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment. Before I started Clear Path Solutions I was Director of the Stress, Pain and Chronic Disease Clinic at Toronto General Hospital.

I have studied and practiced Buddhist meditation techniques for over 35 years. In 1987, at Toronto General Hospital, I developed the first Canadian hospital-based mindfulness meditation program. Over 1,000 patients participated in the program. In the past 10 years I have taught seminars and workshops on ways to integrate meditation techniques into individual psychotherapy practice. I also provide individual supervision and mentoring to health professionals.

Sometimes I am asked if I teach mindfulness meditation to all of my patients. The answer is no. I do my best to provide each person who comes to see me with the treatment approach that will be best for their situation and goals. I offer cognitive behaviour therapy, hypnosis, solution focused therapy and other techniques as well as meditation-based therapies.  I also conduct psychological assessments. See the assessment page of our website for more information about the assessments that we offer. Assessments page >

I am a Co-founder and Principal of Clear Path Solutions. I am a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists in Ontario, Past-President of the Ontario Psychological Association and an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.

Prior to founding Clear Path Solutions, I was the Director of the Health Psychology Internship Program at Toronto General Hospital and a consultant to their HIV/AIDS Clinic.
